Nicolas Cespedes is a Peruvian artist based in Lima. His work explores the relationship between instinct, material and perception through an intuitive and process-driven approach.

Using non-traditional too and found materials, he constructs layered compositions that balance structure with impulsive gesture. His practice embraces imperfection, fragmentation and experimentation as a way of challenging rigid systems of making and thinking.

Rooted in both personal experience and environmental awareness, his work reflects on states of tension and release, inviting a slower, more open engagement with the image. Through this, Cespedes creates spaces where spontaneity and play reconnect the viewer with a sense of freedom and immediacy.
